Gems for Hope — Saturday Nov. 6th, 2010
Gems for Hope is an auction fundraising event dedicated to providing additional funding to assist the Walkter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center. The Boehm Birth Defects Center provides a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary medical program for children born with congenital birth defects of the central nervous system, including spina bifida and hydrocephalus. The Center cares for approximately 600 children annually free of charge, no matter their income level.

Carley Jewels designed the 18k gold Gems for Hope pin, an 18kt yellow gold pin with red spinels provided by RareSource. This item is available through RareSource or the Boehm Birth Defects Center. 100% of the proceeds go towards the Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center
In 2007, RareSource donated a California Gemstone Mining Adventure. This item included 2 airplane tickets, personal tour by Carley and Edward Boehm into a working Tourmaline mine, 2 nights stay in ocean-front hotel, rental car and and 3 bottles of Rombauer Vineyards Cabernet.
